Why the Faculty of Engineering?

We train professionals who can successfully utilize their knowledge and who are successful in solving technical and scientific tasks. We carry out internationally recognized and innovative research and development activities, from basic research to applied research, helping to increase the competitiveness of domestic industry.

The Faculty of Engineering hosts a wide variety of research programmes. Research activities are arranged into 21 thematic Research Groups, which are in receipt of significant long-term funding from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, industrial partners, from regional and national sources and from grants provided by the European Union.
