The Study Program

The goal of the International Studies program is to educate highly qualified experts in the social sciences who are well equipped to consider the role of the Central European region, and Hungary within it, in international and global context. Students are able to draw informed conclusions on theoretical and practical implications of international issues. They are expected to gain advanced language and negotiation competencies as well as proficiency in analytical and synthesizing skills.

Coupled with a broad knowledge of history and current issues, they are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the current dynamics of global political economy, legal frameworks and social processes. The program trains students to be able to identify the complex issues flowing from Europe’s position in global challenges, and to be acquainted with the world beyond Europe, including development trends in the third world.
