Leipzig University in Leipzig, Germany, is one of the world's oldest universities and the second-oldest university in Germany.

Among the graduates of the university, there are several famous alumni, including Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibniz, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Friedrich Nietzsche, Angela Merkel, and many others. The university hosts almost 30000 students, of which 11% are international.
