Brno University of Technology is a higher education institution located in Brno, Czech Republic. Founded in 1899 and initially offering a single course in civil engineering, it grew to become a major technical Czech university with over 18,000 students enrolled at 8 faculties and 2 university institutes.

The institution offers courses at 8 faculties: Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Chemistry,  Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Information Technology. Brno University of Technology is involved in the activities of seven research centers.
