Students who already have a B.A. degree in the humanities or in the area of pedagogy and speak English at least at C1 level can apply to this two-semester, practice oriented programme providing training the theoretical foundations as well as the practice of language. After accomplishing theprogramme, students will be qualified to teach English at primary and secondary level and also in private language schools worldwide!

Program content
Semester 1:
Theories of language acquisition – first and foreign languages; An interdisciplinary approach to the English language; The development of language skills and learner autonomy; Organizing teaching and learning processes: instructor and learner roles in the language classroom; Language teaching policy and course design; Language teaching of age groups – from infants to the elderly; The basic principles of language teaching: theories and methods; The IT foundations of the teaching profession
Semester 2:
The basic principles of language teaching: theories and methods; Teaching practice and seminar; Language assessment: testing and evaluation; Learning in inclusive pedagogical environments; Literature and contemporary culture in the language classroom; Academic and dissertation writing
