Step 1. Choose your dream programme!
What is your dream career? What academic field are you interested in? Check the Study Finder on our webpage to see which programme suits you best. Remember that you can apply to maximum two study programmes.
Step 2. Get in contact with your sending organization and submit the application in your country
Stipendium Hungaricum is a bilateral programme, which means that you need to submit two applications – one in your country and one – in Hungary. Each country has its own responsible sending organization, which will process your application. Contact this organization to find out the application requirements and the application deadline, which are different for every country.
You can find the contacts of the sending organization on the webpage of Stipendium Hungaricum programme, after selecting your country in a drop-down menu.
Step 3. Submit the application to Tempus Public Foundation
Tempus Public Foundation is a responsible organization from the Hungarian side. In order to submit the application, you need to register in the Dream Apply system. Follow the instructions on the webpage to fill out your personal information and upload the documents necessary for admission.
The list of documents may vary depending on your study programme and level. The basic documents include:
- online application form
- motivation letter
- proof of language proficiency
- school certificates
- transcript of records
- acceptance of Statement for Application in the online system
- medical certificate
For additional documents (recommendation letters, letter from the supervisor, etc.), check the requirements of your chosen programme.
Good to know:
- All original documents should be accompanied with an official translation into English
- You can apply to maximum two study programmes. Keep in mind that the application for your first-choice programme will be considered first. If your application for the first-choice programme is not approved, you will be considered for the remaining places in second-choice programme. You will not be able to change the order of your priorities after submitting the application.
- The deadline for the application to Tempus Public Foundation is January 15th, 2024.
Step 4. Check your inbox and prepare for the entrance exam
Check your inbox for further information regarding your application. Remember that your country will be the first to nominate you for the programme. After that, the University of Pannonia will review your application. Generally, future students need to take an entrance exam, which take place in the period from the middle of March until the end of May. Don’t worry: the exam is usually an online interview with the representatives of the faculty. You may be asked about:
- why you chose Hungary or the University of Pannonia
- why you chose this particular study programme
- your study / work experience
- your thesis topic / future research topic
- your future plans for work or studies
- your language knowledge
The content of the exam, however, is different depending on your faculty and programme. The representatives of the faculty will contact you prior to the interview, so that you can prepare for it.
Based on the results of the exam, you will receive notification about final admission results until the end of June.
We wish all the applicants best of luck and are looking forward to meeting you in person in the new academic year!
