Hi there! 😊 I am Audrey Meivina Lukito from Indonesia. I am a Master’s student at the University of Pannonia, majoring in Tourism Management. I have been here for one year and am currently in my third semester.
I am interested in studying in Hungary because it is located in the heart of Europe, which means the European cultures are blended here. Moreover, with Hungary’s rich culture, the capital city has been nominated as the City of Design by UNESCO. Therefore, by studying in Hungary, I can explore more about tourism development while maintaining the old buildings on-site.
As for the University of Pannonia, I chose this university because I prefer to live in a small town so that I can focus on my study, while at the same time, Veszprém is not that far from Budapest, so it is easier for me in case I need to travel to Budapest. The city’s environment is also refreshing as there are more trees here and fresh air 🌳🌞
Also, the relationships between Indonesian people are solid because there are not many Indonesians here. I am also lucky to meet many new friends from different countries. I also have a Japanese friend who is helpful for me not to forget Japanese.
The university allows me to discuss intensely with the professors and students. As we are only eight students, we can have an intense discussion that helps me to think critically. The professors are accommodating because they welcome me whenever I have questions. All the assignments given to the students also allow me to think logically and improve my problem-solving skills. Not to mention, we also have some presentations that help me to improve my confidence in public speaking. My subjects also have some excursions that allow me to understand how the tourism industry works in real life. Moreover, even if my university life is busy, I can still participate in many activities outside the campus, although I mainly participate in activities given by the Embassy of Indonesia in Budapest.
If you are a student who has a solid motivation to focus on your study without the city distraction, the University of Pannonia should be on your list!
My advice for future students is to understand what your needs are to study; then, you can choose any universities that can answer your needs. If the University of Pannonia is the answer, come, and I am sure you can enjoy your study life here! 😁
